Mayor and Vice Mayor Invite Veterans and Job Seekers to Employment Extravaganza

Theo nguồn tin của 0hoenix.gov Dec. 10, 2012 Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Vice Mayor Michael Johnson invite Valley veterans and residents to a job extravaganza on Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Phoenix Convention Center, south building, 33 S. Third Street. The first part of the day is dedicated to the H.E.R.O. initiative job fair which is exclusive to veterans and features more than 25 employers. This portion of the event is from 8 to 10 a.m. The industries of focus include logistics and advanced business services. To ensure admission, veterans are asked to please RSVP at jobs.4.heroes@phoenix.gov or by calling 602-262-6528. All job seekers are invited to attend the session from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. which features more than 80 employers, including Aerotek, Bank of America, Boeing and Banner Health. No RSVP is required for this portion of the event and it’s free to the public. “Our goal is to bring job seekers and employers together in a big way,” said Vice Mayor Johnson. “This economy has been tough on job seekers, but there are companies that need people. We want to help fill those needs and the needs of our unemployed residents.” Residents are encouraged to ride the light rail, which stops just south of the Phoenix Convention Center.
