Sept. 23, 2013 Women’s Economic Forum“Women Talk: Money and More!” is the topic of the 2013 Women’s Economic Forum from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Phoenix College, John Paul Theatre, 1202 W. Thomas Road. The free event will provide a forum for women of all ages to learn about personal and professional growth and development. Panelists will offer presentations on career planning, personal safety, health and financial literacy. The panel discussion will be from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The discussion will begin with remarks from former Secretary of State of Arizona Betsey Bayless and will include presentations from Lt. Jacqui MacConnell, Phoenix Police Department; Dr. Sharon Thompson, Central Phoenix Obstetrics and Gynecology; Donna Brown, Brown Consultants; Paula Koroso, State Farm; and Rena Huber, director, APS Academy for the Advancement of Small, Minority and Women-Owned Enterprises. The 2013 Women’s Economic Forum is sponsored by the Phoenix Women’s Commission and the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department in partnership with Phoenix College. Seating is limited.
