Final, Unofficial Results for Council Runoff Election

Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov Nov. 15, 2013 The City Clerk Department did not receive any additional early ballots from Maricopa County, so the unofficial runoff election results provided on Friday, Nov. 8, did not change. Below are the final, unofficial results, which also are posted on phoenix.gov: Council District 4: Justin Johnson – 7,471 (46.46 percent); Laura Pastor – 8,611 (53.54 percent). Council District 8: Kate Gallego – 7,925 (61.12 percent); Warren Stewart – 5,042 (38.88 percent). Of the 29,204 ballots cast, 26,778 were early ballots. The voter turnout for this election was 23.08 percent. Originally, the city of Phoenix completed tabulation and processing of all ballots in its possession on Friday, Nov. 8. At the time, Maricopa County was still processing early ballots from the countywide election, which may have included early ballots from the city election. Now that all ballots have been processed by the county, the city of Phoenix can provide the final, unofficial results. The City Council is scheduled to canvass the vote totals during its Formal session at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, after which the results become official. The incumbents and newly elected Council members in Districts 2, 4, 6 and 8 will be sworn in during the inauguration ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
