Learns the ABCs of Community and Homeowner Associations

Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov Jan. 2, 2014 Are you involved or interested in getting involved with your community or homeowner association? Whether you’re a longtime or newly elected board member, a free workshop offered through the city’s Neighborhood College is for you. Residents are invited to the “ABCs: Assessments, Board Meetings and Collections/CC&R” workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. During the two-hour session, three topics that can be confusing to community/homeowner association board members will be discussed: Proper collection of delinquent assessments and enforcement of covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs or bylaws); when to pursue delinquencies; and how to work proactively for the best outcome for your association. The workshop also will discuss how to conduct the business of the association at the board meeting and the importance of meeting minutes. The workshop will be taught by Erin McManis, an attorney with Mulcahy Law Firm, P.C., and includes a question-and-answer session.
