Phoenix Sky Harbor is One of the Best Places to Shop for Super Bowl Souvenirs
Feb. 2, 2015 Super Bowl visitors looking to pick up a last minute souvenir have a wide variety to choose from as they depart Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Shops on both sides of security are offering everything from hats and T-shirts to footballs, commemorative pins, glasses, mugs, lanyards and more. In fact, Sky Harbor Airport shops were among the first to offer T-shirts featuring the winning team. “Visitors are not only treated to a wide selection of Super Bowl merchandise at Phoenix Sky Harbor, but they are paying the same price for their souvenirs as they would at other stores in the Phoenix area,” said Phoenix City Councilwoman for District 8, Kate Gallego. “Everything sold in Sky Harbor’s shops is at street pricing.” Commemorative Super Bowl shirts and hats are the top sellers at Sky Harbor. In addition, items for children are flying off the shelves. One souvenir in high demand is a child-sized “My First Super Bowl” hat. Mugs and shot glasses are also selling well, in addition to lapel pins. “These sales benefit the community in a number of ways” said Councilwoman Gallego whose district includes Phoenix Sky Harbor. “They generate sales tax which supports local services in addition to revenue that stays at Sky Harbor and funds Airport operations.” Contact: Sky Harbor Public Information Office Phone Number: Text or Page: 602-673-5355
