During the year of 2016, Phoenix Capital Group’s mission was to encourage the connections of representatives inside and outside the office doors by giving back to the community.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA (PRWEB) DECEMBER 07, 2016 Phoenix Capital Group believes volunteerism and donations to the less fortunate positively affects both parties; giving back creates loyalty among members of the community, boosts individual satisfaction, improves the public image, and supports overall morale and teamwork. Phoenix Capital Group representatives individually gained a great deal from these events; representatives acquired new skills, gained self-fulfillment, established a service-oriented culture, and increased internal socialization and friendships within the company. Listed below are the donations and charitable events and donations representatives participated in during the year 2016. On January 2016, a few Phoenix Capital Group representatives participated in the Stride 4 Spines 5K benefiting the Barrow Neurological Institute. An ample portion of the proceeds from the 3.11 mile race were donated to the institute located in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix Capital Group had a blast running the 5K and was happy to support the cause. The month of March 2016 was spent collecting clothing and household goods for Vietnam Veterans of America – specifically the Veterans located in Arizona. Phoenix Capital Group representatives collected 15 large bags of household goods for the charity. Inside these bags were clothing items and shoes for all ages, kitchen appliances, toys, tools, bedding, and other miscellaneous household items. Giving back to veterans is the ultimate way to show appreciation for fighting for this country’s freedom. During the month of May 2016, Phoenix Capital Group representatives participated in National Red Nose Day to support children poverty around the world. Every year, Walgreens teams up with a handful of celebrities and hosts a two-hour live television special to create awareness and make a difference for children. Half of all the money raised is spent in the United States, while the other half of the money raised goes to the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. All the proceeds support projects that ensure children’s safety, health, and education. Phoenix Capital Group gave through the #RedNoseDay event by purchasing red noses. The event is held in May every year and is funded by Walgreens. During the year 2016, Phoenix Capital Group branched out and opened a call center in Birmingham, Alabama. The Birmingham office decided to give back to their community by donating items to the Birmingham Humane Society. The office of four representatives collected dog food, blankets, newspapers, pillowcases, and a cash donation. The Birmingham office did an awesome job collecting a large amount of donations that will help many animals in need. While Birmingham donated items to the Humane Society during the month of September 2016, the Arizona office collected items for the Phoenix Rescue Mission. The Phoenix Rescue Mission collects “hope tote hygiene kits” for the homeless men and women of Phoenix, Arizona. Representatives bought brand new items for the hope totes; toothbrushes, socks, shampoo, conditioner, water bottles, and more. The Phoenix and Birmingham offices sacrificed a great deal of time, energy, and money during the month of September to help those less fortunate in the surrounding communities. The month of November was the Arizona offices’ last effort to give back to the community during the year 2016. The Arizona representatives collected non-perishable food for Saint Mary’s Food Bank. The food bank collects food from individuals all over the state of Arizona via grocery stores, schools, offices, churches, etc. The food collected is portioned out to low income families and to the homeless shelters in Phoenix. Representatives in the Arizona office were able to donate ten large bags for Saint Mary’s Food Bank. The Birmingham office decided to participate in the Angel Tree program during the month of December. Children who are recipients of Angel Tree gifts are from families who have applied for Christmas assistance through the Social Services program of The Salvation Army. Each representative of the Alabama office chose an angel to sponsor for the Christmas season. Six shoe boxes were filled with Christmas gifts and then dropped off for the Salvation Army to distribute to families in need on Christmas day. The year 2016 was an extremely successful and encouraging year for Phoenix Capital Group. Stay tuned via social media as the Arizona and Alabama offices continue to volunteer and donate in 2017.
