Các văn phòng của Thành phố Phoenix sẽ đóng cửa vào thứ Hai, ngày 26 tháng 5 để kỷ niệm Ngày Chiến sĩ trận vong.

City of Phoenix Memorial Day Holiday Notice

City of Phoenix offices will be closed Monday, May 26 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Solid Waste Collection: Curbside collection will not change during the week of Memorial Day. Trash and recycling collection will happen as regularly scheduled on Memorial Day.

Transfer Stations: Both the 27th Ave. and North Gateway transfer stations will be closed on Monday, May 26.

Public Works Customer Contact Center: The Contact Center will be closed on Monday, May 26. It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27. Residents can call 602-262-6251.

Library: All Phoenix Public Library locations are closed on Monday, May 26 in observance of the holiday. Visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org for more details. Phoenix Public Library book drops and digital/eResources are available 24/7.

Parking Meters: All parking meters are enforced 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, including weekends and holidays. Street Transportation regular services will resume on Tuesday, May 27. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport: If you plan to park at the airport, reserve your parking in advance. Book your parking at skyharbor.com/parkphx. Come early even if you have a reservation. See parking availability on skyharbor.com.

Passengers can also view security checkpoint wait times on skyharbor.com or on one of the flight information display boards in each terminal. You can use any security checkpoint in Terminal 4 to access any gate.

The PHX Reserve program allows guests to schedule a specific time for their TSA security screening. All you need to do is reserve your time and show up at your assigned checkpoint at your appointment time. Register at skyharbor.com/phxreserve.

Confirm flight status with your airline before heading to the airport, then give yourself plenty of time. Arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight departs if you are flying domestically, three hours if you are flying internationally.

Recorder Stephen Richer announces “I Voted” Sticker Contest

PHOENIX — Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer is excited to announce a new contest for residents to help design their own take on the classic “I Voted” sticker.

Residents of all ages have the chance to make their own version of this iconic symbol that could eventually be handed out to proud Maricopa County voters during the August Primary and November General Elections this year.

“This contest is an opportunity to get residents engaged in the election process,” Recorder Richer said. “I look forward to seeing all the submissions we get!”

There will be two contests: A youth contest and an adult contest.

For the youth contest, applicants must be 17-years-old or younger and enrolled in a Maricopa County school or homeschool equivalent. Contestants are asked to craft a sticker design that highlights what they love about their community.

The adults contest is opened to any registered voters in Maricopa County. Applicants are asked to create a design that highlights why they choose to vote.

Applications open today, Tuesday, February 6 and close on Friday, March 15 at 5 p.m.

Each contest will be narrowed down to 10 finalists, which will be announced on Monday, March 25.

Those finalists will head to a public vote ending on Sunday, April 7 at midnight. The winners will be announced on Monday, April 8.

One winner will be selected from each contest, meaning there will be two original designs: one from the kids contest and one from the adults contest. These winning designs will be added to Maricopa County’s six new sticker designs set to be released this election year.

Not only will the winner of the youth contest have their design used as one of this year’s official “I Voted” stickers, but they will also receive a pizza party for one of their classes where they will get to pass out their sticker to their classmates.

All contestants must sign a release form and minors must receive a parent or guardian’s signature in order to participate.

The City of Phoenix will hold a Special Bond Election on November 7, 2023, in which eligible Phoenix voters will decide on four ballot questions. The ballot-by-mail Election will be conducted by Maricopa County. The Voter Registration Deadline for this election is Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

You can register to vote until midnight on October 10th at servicearizona.com.

Voter registration is administered by Maricopa County. All changes to voter registration information must be completed by the County. If you are registered voter – take a few seconds to make sure you’re registered to vote at your current address at BeBallotReady.Vote or by calling Maricopa County at 602-506-1511.
