PHX Set to Offer Early Bag Check

PHOENIX – In time for the upcoming busy travel season, which includes Spring Break and Spring Training, America’s Friendliest Airport® will begin offering Early Bag Check on Wednesday, Feb. 11. The free and convenient service is operated by Bags, a Metropolis company. It allows passengers to check their luggage before arriving at the terminal, helping them travel lighter and more easily on the PHX Sky Train® and save time by skipping airline ticket counters.

Passengers flying domestically on the following airlines can use the service: Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest and United. Early Bag Check counters are located at the Rental Car Center and East Economy Parking and are open daily from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., including holidays.

In addition to checking bags, passengers can also print their boarding passes at the Early Bag Check counters.

Depending on the airline, passengers may check up to two bags per person. While there is no additional fee for the service, airline baggage fees still apply.

Bags must be checked at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure and no more than four hours before the flight, per airline policy.

Tiêm chủng cho trẻ em. Chương trình Tiêm chủng cho trẻ em của PFD cung cấp vắc-xin miễn phí cho trẻ em đủ điều kiện theo Chương trình Vắc-xin cho trẻ em (VFC).

Chương trình Vắc-xin cho trẻ em (VFC) là một chương trình do liên bang tài trợ, cung cấp vắc-xin miễn phí cho trẻ em có thể không được tiêm vắc-xin vì không có khả năng chi trả. Chương trình được chính thức triển khai vào tháng 10 năm 1994 như một phần của Sáng kiến ​​Tiêm chủng cho trẻ em của Tổng thống. Việc tài trợ cho Chương trình VFC cho phép Trung tâm Kiểm soát và Phòng ngừa Dịch bệnh (CDC) mua vắc-xin với giá chiết khấu từ các nhà sản xuất và phân phối chúng cho các sở y tế tiểu bang và một số cơ quan y tế công cộng địa phương và lãnh thổ, sau đó, các cơ quan này sẽ phân phối miễn phí cho các phòng khám bác sĩ tư nhân và phòng khám y tế công cộng đã đăng ký là nhà cung cấp VFC.

PLEASE NOTE: Immunization records must be brought with you to the Baby Shots event.

The PFD Baby Shots Immunization Program provides free vaccinations to children who are eligible under the Vaccine for Children’s Program (VFC).

The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program is a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. The program was officially implemented in October 1994 as part of the President’s Childhood Immunization Initiative. Funding for the VFC Program allows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to buy vaccines at a discount from the manufacturers and distribute them to state health departments and certain local and territorial public health agencies which, in turn, distribute them at no charge to private physician offices and public health clinics registered as VFC providers.

Eligibility Criteria Include:

Children from birth through 18 years of age who meet at least one of the following criteria on the day the vaccine is administered are eligible to receive VFC vaccine:

KidsCare

Medicaid eligible: In Arizona, children whose health insurance is covered by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS )

Uninsured: A child who has no health insurance coverage

American Indian or Alaska Native: As defined by the Indian Health Services Act​

NOTICE: Please telephone 602-534-BABY (2229) to confirm clinic times and location. Be advised that Baby Shots employees may close the line during the advertised time of operation in order to vaccinate customers presently in line during the allotted clinic time.
