The Russ George Agency, a Phoenix area company that offers financial planning assistance and insurance services to families and entrepreneurs residing in central Arizona, is teaming up with Yorkie Luv Rescue for a charity event to help find new homes for neglected dogs

PHOENIX, AZ (PRWEB) JUNE 21, 2017 The Russ George Agency, a regional insurance provision and financial planning firm serving communities in the greater Phoenix region, is embarking on a joint charity drive in conjunction with Yorkie Luv Rescue aimed at assisting animals in the area in need of new permanent homes. Yorkie Luv Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization dedicated to making sure all Yorkies and Yorkie mixes are cared for in a safe and healthy environment until they can find a new, loving family. Shelters in Maricopa County and the surrounding areas have extremely high kill rates compared to the rest of the nation, and YLR works to counteract this reality both by rescuing dogs from these shelters and accepting surrendered animals from families that can no longer care for them. “Every dog deserves a safe, loving home with a family that cares for them, and our goal is to assist Yorkie Luv Rescue and other animal rescue charities in our area by raising awareness and community support,” says Russ George, founder and executive manager of the Russ George Agency. The Russ George team is using the Internet to great effect during this charity event, and has galvanized support from families, associates, and friends throughout the Phoenix area chiefly from broadcasts over social media and email. Additional support for the animal rescue charity drive will include the publication of a cover article discussing the event in a new issue of “Our Hometown,” a monthly webzine hosted by the Russ George Agency: http://russgeorgeagency.com/magazines/. Over the last year, George and his team have worked with half a dozen different causes and nonprofits in and around Phoenix as part of an ongoing membership in a national charity support movement called “Agents of Change.” As committed members of this group, George and his team will be working with a new regional charity on a quarterly basis. All readers interested in learning more about the Yorkie Luv Rescue charity initiative, and those who would like to take part in the event, are invited by George and his team to make a positive difference by following this link: http://russgeorgeagency.com/causes/finding-loving-home-little-friends/. AZ Junk Removal Launches New Bagster® Pickup Alternative Service

Theo nguồn tin trên trang của prweb.com

New service provides homeowners a way to have their Bagster Bag picked up.

PHOENIX, AZ (PRWEB) JUNE 20, 2017 AZ Junk Removal, owned by Brad Thomason, has developed a specialized service designed to assist homeowners who find themselves in a troublesome situation: a huge bag loaded full of unwanted junk stuck on their property with no way to rid themselves of it. AZ Junk Removal’s new Bagster Pickup Alternative service will pick up and remove any Bagster Bag, regardless of location or contents. The Bagster Bag® is a DIY service offered by another company where one can purchase a Bagster® bag from a local hardware store, fill it with unwanted items and they will pick it up and haul it off. That’s the idea in theory. In reality, there are very restrictive rules about what can be picked up. A homeowner can easily run into trouble and be left literally holding the bag. AZ Junk, unlike other companies, will pick up a Bagster Bag full of heavy materials, appliances, electronics, food waste, paint, and more. “I was constantly receiving calls from homeowners who explained that they purchased these bags from Home Depot or wherever, and how they couldn’t find anyone to pick them up.” – Brad Thomason, President of AZ Junk Removal AZ Junk’s Bagster Pickup Alternative service is designed to meet residents where they are when it comes to junk removal. As a result, their newly launched service allows people to have their Bagster Bags picked up with no complicated restrictions. “Our goal is to provide a pickup service where we can load up items from a Bagster bag no matter where on the property it is located and no matter the contents. We also donate or recycle items to avoid hauling away an entire load to the landfill that could be more appropriately disposed of by dropping it off at Goodwill or a nearby recycle plant.” – Brad Thomason AZ Junk Removal provides flat rate junk removal hauling throughout the Phoenix metro area, servicing residential, commercial, industrial, and retail properties. http://www.azjunkremoval.com

Heat Warning

Theo nguồn tin trên trang của phoenix.gov

Excessive Heat Saturday, June 17 through Thursday, June 22, the Phoenix Metro area will experience unseasonably hot temperatures with high to very high heat risk. Heat related illness will be possible to those sensitive to the heat such as the elderly and homeless, individuals spending time outdoors, and those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. Afternoon highs 110-115°, approaching 115-120° Monday through Thursday.

June 15, 2017 Today officially marks the beginning of the monsoon, and the city of Phoenix is ready to respond. While the actual season runs until September 30, the city works throughout the year to prepare, and ensure that we are focusing on our #1 priority: The safety of Phoenix residents. “As the likelihood of severe weather events increases during the summer, all our residents should feel confident that the city of Phoenix is prepared to respond quickly to community needs,” says Councilman Michael Nowakowski, chair of the Public Safety and Veterans Subcommittee. “The city’s response teams are working 24/7 during the monsoon, watching weather patterns and being in constant communication with the National Weather Service,” says Lisa Jones, Phoenix Director of Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. “This allows us to better strategize on storm response ahead of the storm, rather than on simply a reactionary basis.” Here are some ways the city is preparing: The city has a Duty Officer who works 24/7 to monitor storms. This allows the city to anticipate weather as it rolls in, and alert crews for better response while ensuring seamless service to residents even when it seems all resources are deployed on storm-related issues. New this year: The city of Phoenix was recently recognized as “StormReady” by the National Weather Service. Phoenix meets specific guidelines in having advanced capabilities for monitoring, planning, responding, and providing public information during severe weather events. The city’s Technical Rescue Teams train year-round for incidents, like water rescues. Streets crews clean drainage channels and catch basins daily to ensure stormwater runoff can reach conveyance channels. The city is always analyzing infrastructure each season to determine where improvements need to be made. Ensuring that residents are equipped with important information. Nearly 400,000 monsoon fliers in English and Spanish containing key information about storms and safety are being mailed to residents in June to hang on their refrigerators. Here’s how residents can prepare: Find long-term options to reduce flooding from heavy rains, including reusable gel water barriers. Remember to Take a Hike. Do it Right: Watch the weather forecast before hitting the trails to ensure hikers don’t get caught in a dangerous situation. Make sure you have a plan in place for your family and pets so that you can survive without water or power for 72 hours. Download a go kit flier for you and your pets. Trim trees on your property to reduce weight so that trees are less likely to fall and snap. Photograph damage to your property for insurance purposes. Things to remember: Do not attempt to drive through a flooded road! The depth of water is not always obvious. Two feet of rushing water can carry away most vehicles including SUVs and pick-up trucks. Slow down while driving through inclement weather. When you find yourself driving into a dust storm: pull over, turn off lights and wait it out. Ensure doors and windows on homes and businesses are secure. Many storm-related dispatch calls end up being false burglar alarms; a result of doors blowing open. Preparing will allow first responders to be available for emergencies.
