WHEN: Saturday, December 3, 2016 WHERE: Parade Start: Central Ave. & Montebello Ave. at 7 p.m. Parade End: 7th St. & Indian School Rd. *Parade Run-Time Varies2016 marks the 30th edition of this free annual event and is themed “1986-2016 A Phoenix Family Tradition.” The APS Electric Light Parade has long been an event where families, neighborhood groups and businesses from across the city come together and spread the joy of the holidays to more than 100,000 spectators.
Float Judging and Pre-Parade Activities: Friday, December 2, 2016 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. North Phoenix Baptist Church 5757 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012 Float Viewing & Judging: Attendees are able to get an up close and personal view of many of the parade floats. This is your chance to admire the detail and hard work necessary to make these floats come alive. Free Kids Event : Santa’s Village A free family event that includes face painting, arts and crafts, small games and a photo with Santa. Each activity area will highlight a different holiday tradition from around the world. Hosted by the students of Arizona State University’s Recreation Management program.
