Hula's "Mahalo Mondays" in June to Benefit Phoenix Animal Cruelty Task Force

Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov May 31, 2013 Celebrate “Mahalo Mondays” in June at Hula’s Modern Tiki, 4700 N. Central Ave., and support the work of the Phoenix Animal Cruelty Task Force. Hula’s will donate 10 percent of gross proceeds from June 3, 10, 17 and 24. “Support from community partners like Dana Mule at Hula’s is key to reaching our goals related to animal cruelty prevention,” said Councilman Michael Nowakowski, Task Force co-chair. “This is a real grass-roots effort,” said Councilwoman Thelda Williams, Task Force co-chair. “The funds raised pay for the tool kits that go directly into the hands of our police officers – the positive impact will be realized for years to come.” “These tool kits will provide a safe and standardized way for officers to apprehend dogs in need of assistance, including victims of abuse and neglect,” said Phoenix Police Commander Tim Hampton, Task Force member. The task force was created to address animal abuse and neglect issues, focusing on three areas: education; training of first responders; and legislative and ordinance changes. Fundraising efforts provide Animal Cruelty Task Force “tool kits” to the Police Department animal welfare liaisons. Tax deductible donations can be made to Phoenix Police Foundation/Animal Task Force and mailed to 200 W. Washington St., 11th floor, Attn: Councilwoman Williams, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
