National Debt Relief Talks About Instances When It Is Okay To Borrow Money

National Debt Relief shares in an article some of the instances when it is acceptable to take out a loan. The article looks at some specific instances when consumers can take up debt and explains why it would be a better financial move than avoiding debt.

National Debt Relief shares in an article published June 3, 2015 some of the instances when it is acceptable to take out a loan. The article titled “5 Times When It’s Okay To Borrow Money” looks at some specific instances when consumers can take up debt and explains why it would be a better financial move than avoiding debt.

The article starts off by highlighting the fact that a lot of books and even financial experts all say that consumers need to avoid debt. It takes away so much from the consumer’s future that it should be avoided at all cost. And in most cases this is good advice. When consumers borrow money they’re really borrowing from their future self. They get to use the money now but it won’t seem like such a good idea several years from now when they’re still trying to repay it.

One of the things that people need to look into is when they cannot cover their medical bills and run the risk of getting into debt. Although the credit reporting bureaus have given a 180-day grace period for consumers to pay their medical debts before it gets reflected on their scores, there are times that the bill is too high and consumers are tempted to swipe it in their cards.

The article suggests that it might be better to take out a personal loan to cover the bill rather than using the more convenient credit card. This is because the interest rate on personal loans might be lower than the ones being used by credit card lenders. This can mean valuable savings in the future when they compare the total interest paid on the loan.

The article also explains how moving either interstate or intrastate or even abroad can easily break the budget when everything is summed up. Even the small things like the boxes and wrappers can amount to thousands of dollars at the end of the day. In these cases, it is also better to take out a personal loan rather than charging everything in the card.

There are instances when consumers would like to make some home improvements and rather than using their cards to pay for the expense, they might look into a home equity as a line of credit from their lenders which will have a much lower rate than personal loans and even credit cards. More than 300 Vemma Affiliates Helped Stop Hunger Now and Packaged More than 60,000 Meals for the World's Hungry

Vemma affiliates descended on a large, empty room in the Phoenix Convention Center on a recent night to help pay it forward and provide meals to children halfway around the world as part of a special Stop Hunger Now event.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) June 19, 2015

More than 300 Vemma affiliates descended on a large, empty room in the Phoenix Convention Center on a recent night to help pay it forward and provide meals to children halfway around the world as part of a special Stop Hunger Now event.

The two-hour event, organized by Vemma Nutrition Company, gave the affiliates a chance to dig in and put their hearts into action. More than 300 Affiliates lined long rows of tables, armed with plastic scoops, bags and buckets of rice, soy, vegetables, vitamins and minerals, the key components packed into each six-meal bag of food.

“These meals go to schools. When there’s food in school, kids go to school; girls go to school,” shared Karen Sanders Noe, director of corporate relations for Stop Hunger Now.

Vemma Founder & CEO BK Boreyko rolled up his sleeves and pitched in. He said he wasn’t surprised by the number of people who quickly signed up to help. “This is a visual confirmation of the quality of people who join Vemma,” said BK. “We attract the right people for the right reasons.”

The group achieved its goal of packing 60,000 meals to be shipped to one of 36 developing countries the organization supports. Vemma affiliates Brittany and Hank Harris of Kansas City said they were grateful Vemma organized the volunteer opportunity. “I was so excited to hear about this. I think it should happen at every Vemma Convention,” said Brittany. “This really brings everyone together and that’s huge.”

In all, Vemma raised funds to donate more than 100,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now during its annual campaign, which concluded at its 2015 Vemma Training Convention in Phoenix, Arizona June 11-13. Vemma will continue to accept donations from affiliates to help support children’s causes across the world through the Ben & Dottie Boreyko Foundation. Affiliates can add an amount to their monthly Auto-delivery or one-time orders or simply donate.

Phoenix Children at Risk of Hunger to Benefit from Sodexo's Feeding Our Future® Summer Meal Program

Approximately 16,750 meals will be provided to local children who are at risk of hunger during this summer.

PHOENIX, June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The Sodexo Feeding Our Future® summer meal program expands to the Phoenix area this month to help fill the nutrition gap for local children, which widens with the end of the school year. Feeding Our Future is a summer feeding program in which Sodexo partners with community organizations to provide meals to children in need who are out of school for the summer. Childhood hunger is a particular concern in Arizona, which ranks third in the country for food insecurity rates with 456,760 children facing hunger on a daily basis, according to Feeding America. To help address this problem, Sodexo introduces its Feeding Our Future summer meal program to Phoenix. Local kids who are at risk of hunger during the summer will be able to have weekday breakfasts and lunches at two local YMCA locations. Sodexo is leading this collaborative volunteer effort in conjunction with community partners, including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, local YMCA locations, FOCUS North America and Sodexo Foundation. In addition to Feeding Our Future, Sodexo also partners with the USDA and its Summer Food Service Program which expects to provide 200 million free summer meals this year to children ages 18 and younger. “Fighting hunger, and specifically childhood hunger, is central to Sodexo Foundation’s mission. It’s the philanthropic arm of Sodexo where our day-to-day business ties directly to the health and well-being of children,” said Robert A. Stern, chair, Sodexo Foundation. “We’re happy to be able to expand our national program to the Phoenix community and provide kids needed nourishment to help improve their quality of life.” Feeding Our Future meals are prepared at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, which was recently named azcentral’s BEST Reader’s Choice winner for “best hospital dining experience,” and distributed by community partner FOCUS North America, a national movement of Orthodox Christians who provide action-oriented and sustainable solutions to poverty, to Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA and Ahwatukee Foothill Family YMCA. Approximately 16,750 meals will be served at the two locations through August 7. During the school year, more than 21 million kids nationwide receive free and reduced-price meals, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). But when school lets out for the summer, only 3.8 million children participate in summer meal programs. Filling in these meals at home can be difficult for parents. Approximately 43 percent of low-income families say it’s harder to make ends meet during the summer, when grocery expenses increase by $300 a month, according to one national survey. Feeding Our Future is an 8-12 week summer feeding program, in which Sodexo partners with community organizations to provide meals to children who are out of school for the summer. More than 4 million free meals have been distributed to children nationwide since its inception in 1997. With the addition of Phoenix, it now operates in 24 U.S. cities: Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Camden, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Fort Worth, Honolulu, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, New York, Norfolk, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Spokane, St. Cloud, St. Louis, Syracuse, Terre Haute and Washington D.C. Visit Sodexo Foundation on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @StopHungerUSA. For other individuals and families seeking information on how to obtain food, the USDA National Hunger Hotline(1-866-3-Hungry or 1-877-8-Hambre) provides callers with locations of emergency food providers in their communities. New Arizona Venue Names Showcase Economic Benefit of Tribal Gaming

New article by Benefiting Arizona highlights recent name changes among Arizona’s premier sports and entertainment venues as a testament to the beneficial impact of Tribal Gaming.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) June 17, 2015

Over the last two years, 3 of the major event venues in the Phoenix metro area have changed names, all of them to those with Native American ties, according to a recent article by Benefiting Arizona. In June 2013, the 20,000-person capacity, open-air Desert Sky Pavilion became Ak-Chin Pavilion, celebrating the Community and its Arizona heritage. Then in September 2014, what was Jobing.com Arena became Gila River Arena, marking "the first federally recognized tribal naming rights deal with a sports venue that houses one of the four major professional sports leagues in the country.” The Gila River Indian Community owns three major casinos on tribal land in the Phoenix metro area and the agreement offers a marquis opportunity to promote its properties. Most recently, the home of the Phoenix Suns, the local NBA franchise, became Talking Stick Resort Arena, promoting the premier entertainment destination on Salt-River Pima-Maricopa tribal lands, just outside of Scottsdale. All 3 of these venue naming rights agreements are a testament to the impact Tribal Gaming has had on the tribes and surrounding communities.

Arizona has the second highest total Native American population in the United States, with 6.6% of Arizona’s population of Native American ancestry and 21 recognized tribes. For generations, the native people of Arizona struggled to overcome geographic isolation and limited economic opportunities.

Tribal Gaming changed all of that. As Tribal Casinos were built and expanded across the state, economic growth was the result. Local businesses began to grow in support of this burgeoning industry, tribal economies began to diversify, and Arizona’s tribes became increasingly self-reliant. Not only did the tribes benefit, but through the Arizona Benefits Fund, Tribal Gaming has given back over $1 billion to the State of Arizona to date, with those revenues dedicated to supporting education, healthcare, tourism, conservation, and more.

Today, Arizona’s tribal communities celebrate a strong community culture and commitment to remain self-reliant, while increasing the diversity of their economic sectors. Arizona’s premier sports and entertainment venues stand as monuments to the success of these efforts and the beneficial impact Tribal Gaming has on consumers, tribal members, and all Arizonans. The next time you attend a concert at Ak-Chin Pavilion, catch a hockey game at Gila River Arena, or go to a Suns game at Talking Stick Resort Arena, take a moment to marvel at the economic ecosystem built through Tribal Gaming.
