Phoenix's Civic Space Park Offering Fall Lunch Concert Series

Oct. 25, 2012 The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is bringing live music back to the downtown lunch scene this fall with the Civic Space Lunchtime Concert Series at Civic Space Park, 424 N. Central Ave. The fall series kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 31 and will take place every Wednesday* from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the park’s outside amphitheater stage through the second week of May. The concerts are free to the public and will feature outstanding performing and visual arts. Torres & Hendricks (Pop, Rhythm and Blues) will headline the opening concert Oct. 31. Future performances will include: Lucius Parr (Jazz R and B guitar), Nov. 7; Hans Olson (Blues and Harp), Nov. 14; and Mikel Lander and Meredith Moore Duo (Rock and Soul), Nov. 28. *There is no concert Nov. 21 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Concertgoers are encouraged to take Light Rail to the Park, which has stops right at the park’s entrances. Metered or pay parking is available on street or in nearby lots or garages.
