Paint Sprayer Training Offered To Help Keep Neighborhoods Graffiti Free

Then plan to attend a hands-on paint sprayer training session at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at NSD West Facility, 3325 W. Flower St. During the two-hour session, residents will watch a video on how to safely operate a paint sprayer and receive hands-on instruction. Once attendees get comfortable with the equipment, they will remove graffiti at a nearby location. Upon completion of the course, residents will receive a laminated card and will be able to use a paint sprayer free of charge for community clean-ups. As a reminder, paint and supplies for community clean-ups and blight removal are free of charge to neighborhood associations listed with Neighborhood Services. Residents must wear casual clothing to the training session as they may get paint on their clothing. The instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.
