Phoenix Public Works Offers Free "Talking Trash 101" Workshop

Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov Nov. 8, 2013 Every week residents take out their trash and recycling containers to be emptied. But what happens to them as they leave the curb and are hauled away in a truck? Where does it go? The Public Works Department is hosting a free workshop on how the city’s trash and recycling collection program works from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 16, at the North Gateway Transfer Station, 30205 N. Black Canyon Highway. The transfer station is one half-mile northeast of the Dixileta Drive exit (exit 220) off I-17. Enter at gate 3 and follow the road around to the visitor’s area. Attendees will learn how trash and recycling are collected, fun recycling facts, challenges drivers routinely face and programs that can help you keep your neighborhood clean and safe. The two-hour class also includes a tour of the city’s recycling center. For more information or to register for this class, call 602-534-4444 or visit phoenix.gov/nsd/neighborhoodcollege.
