Sustainable Conference Brings Together Businesses, Government Leaders

Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov Nov. 14, 2013 Go Green 2013 Image 200 x 322 pixelsThe GoGreen Phoenix Conference, a sustainability learning experience for businesses and government decision-makers, takes place 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Phoenix Convention Center, West Building, 100 N. Third St. The conference will focus on building resilient organizations and communities that can weather the business impacts of climate change, share and manage scarce resources, support the growing legions of social entrepreneurs in the Valley and ensure the intersections of health and sustainability are addressed equitably. Mayor Greg Stanton, along with Capt. Wayne Porter, U.S. Navy chairman of Systemic Strategy and Complexity, will kick off the conference with their opening remarks. The rest of the day will be filled with workshops and panel discussions that include such topics as responses to climate change, technologies solving sustainability challenges, forecasting solutions for an ever-thirsty region, best practices for more sustainable cities and sports teams’ collaborative efforts to becoming sustainable. Following a full day of informational workshops and discussions is a networking reception at the rooftop Lustre Bar at the Hotel Palomar, 2 E. Jefferson St. Full-day admission tickets are $150 each or $125 each for groups of two or more.
