Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov Holiday Notice Dec. 17, 2013 City of Phoenix InformationCity of Phoenix offices will be closed beginning at noon on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24; on Christmas Day, Dec. 25; and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Here’s how city services are affected: Transit: Phoenix city buses and Dial-A-Ride will operate using Sunday schedules on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24; Christmas Day, Dec. 25; and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Express and RAPID buses will not operate. Valley Metro Light Rail will operate using Sunday schedules on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24; Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Light rail also will run a regular schedule including late-night service on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, to serve the demand from special events. Trash and Recycling: Christmas Day – Wednesday’s collection moves to Thursday, Dec. 26; Thursday’s collection moves to Friday, Dec. 27; and Friday’s collection moves to Saturday, Dec. 28, New Year’s Day – Wednesday’s collection moves to Thursday, Jan. 2; Thursday’s collection moves to Friday, Jan. 3; Friday’s collection moves to Saturday, Jan. 4. Transfer Stations: Transfer stations will run on holiday hours (6 a.m. to noon) on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. They will be closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Libraries: All Phoenix Public Library locations will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. All locations will close at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 (with First Night celebrations from 5 – 9 p.m. at three locations), and closed New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Parking Meters: They will be free beginning at noon on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. They also will be free on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
