Free Data Privacy and Security Lunch and Learn Session Jan. 31

Theo nguồn tin trên trang mạng của thành phố Phoenix Jan. 15, 2014 Data Privacy Day Logo for News releaseThe city’s Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) will be hosting a free lunchtime session, “Data Privacy: Hackers and Headlines,” in recognition of Data Privacy Day from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in assembly rooms A and B at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St. Data breaches continue to make headlines and medical ID theft is the fastest growing form of identity theft. Attendees are invited to bring their lunch and find out about data brokers and what to do if personal information is stolen. Data Privacy Day is an international effort to empower and educate people to protect their privacy and control their digital footprint. It is led by the National Cyber Security Alliance, a nonprofit, public-private partnership dedicated to cybersecurity education and awareness. The ISPO is a division of the city’s Information Technology Services department and provides strategic oversight, direction and coordination for the city’s information security and privacy programs based on internationally recognized information security governance best practices. No registration is required for the free session.
