Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov Councilman Nowakowski Invites Residents to Community Bike Events and Movies April 2, 2014 Councilman Michael Nowakowski invites residents to join him for various community bike and safety events in District 7 on Saturday, April 5. Engaging and interactive activities will take place at three different locations throughout the day, as part of the city’s ongoing bicycling celebration. The first event will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at Manuel Pina Elementary School, 2550 N. 79th Ave. Car seat checks and a free pancake breakfast will be offered at the school. There also will be a special presentation with the Cartwright School District and an update of the city’s bike master plan. The second event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hurley Ranch Elementary School, 8950 W. Illini Drive. Attendees can participate in a Bike Cyclovia street fair, enjoy free hot dogs for lunch and interact with school district members. The final event of the day will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cesar Chavez Park, 35th Avenue and Baseline Road. There will be mariachi music, ballet folklorico, crafts, face painting, food trucks and free pizza, as well as the movies “Rio” and “La Bamba” playing at the park. Other highlights of the day include a bike rodeo, helmet fitting and giveaway, bike giveaway and bike relay races at each location. Come meet your fellow residents and join the fun.
