Central Ave., will host 7 free workshops in May. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. , Friday, May 2 How to Pitch Learn how to pitch to investors and develop the tools to make a stellar presentation. Noon – 1 p.m., Thursday, May 8 Investor Pitch Workshop Break down the necessary steps to begin finding investors. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday, May 9 Business Model Canvas Learn about the Business Model Canvas and how to use this tool to describe, design, challenge and pivot your business. 5 – 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 20 Market Research for Business Entrepreneurs Learn to create custom searches in ReferenceUSA and tailor your business to consumers. 2 – 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 21 Business Etiquette Explore the importance of etiquette in making a good first impression. Noon – 1 p.m., Thursday, May 29 Effective Recruiting and Staffing Learn why hiring the right people is as important as developing your business idea. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday, May 30 Business Development & Sales Discover how to establish effective business relationships and build a sales pipeline for your startup.
