Eighth Annual Bruce Florence Parkinson Juried Art Show

March 26, 2015 Phoenix Public Library will host the Eighth Annual Bruce Florence Parkinson Juried Art Show Friday, April 3 – Monday, April 27 in Hive Gallery on the second floor of Burton Barr Central Library, located at 1221 N. Central Ave. The exhibition will feature artwork made by Arizonans living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners. An award ceremony and bilingual concert performance by Tremble Clefs and Voces Unidas will be open to the public 3 – 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 10 in the Library’s Pulliam Auditorium, located on the first floor. These events are sponsored by the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and the Parkinson Network of Arizona. April is Parkinson’s disease awareness month. 1.5 million people in the U.S. have Parkinson’s disease; every day 135 people are diagnosed.
