Aug. 6, 2015 Friday, Aug. 14, is the last day for registered Phoenix voters to request an early ballot by mail for the August Mayor and Council Election. Request forms are available online at phoenix.gov/elections or by calling the Phoenix City Clerk Department at 602-261-VOTE (8683). The signed ballot request forms must arrive by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, to the City Clerk Department, 200 W. Washington St., 15th floor. Election Day is Aug. 25, and voting centers open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. Voters who wish to vote early in person rather than by mail, may cast an early ballot during business hours at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., 15th floor, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. any weekday through Friday, Aug. 21. Accessible voting devices that permit voters with disabilities to vote independently are available at this location. Voters who received ballots by mail should take the time they need to consider the choices and mark their ballot, but residents who complete their ballots are encouraged to it as soon as it is voted. This provides more time for signature verification and processing so that final results are available sooner. Early ballots must be received by the City Clerk Department no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, Aug. 25. Early ballots also may be dropped off at any city voting center on Saturday, Aug. 22, Monday, Aug. 24 and Election Day, Aug. 25. Voters should note that an Aug. 25 postmark on mailed ballots will not be acceptable because ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Aug. 25. The United States Postal Service advises that first class mail will be delivered 3 to 5 days after it is sent. Comprehensive information about the August election is available online at phoenix.gov/elections, by contacting the City Clerk Department at 602-261-VOTE (8683), using the 7-1-1 Relay System or following @PHXElections on social media.
