Orpheum Theatre Presents Silent Sundays Featuring Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Oct. 9, 2015 The Orpheum Theatre and the Valley of the Sun Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society are taking guests back in time for Silent Sundays, a movie event that will feature the 1920s original silent horror classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on Oct 18. The show starts at 2:30 p.m. at the historic theater located at 203 W. Adams St. Tickets are available online for $20.00 and at the Box Office on the day of the event. John Barrymore stars in the legendary Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, written by Robert Lewis Stevenson. World famous organist Ron Rhode will play the musical accompaniment on the Orpheum’s Wurlitzer Pipe Organ. The event begins with a film discussion led by Gateway Community College Professor Don Hall followed by an Organ Prelude from musician Ron Rhode. The feature film will begin at 3pm. Parking is available in the First American Title Garage at 111 W. Monroe St., east of 2nd Avenue between Adams and Monroe streets. Additional parking is available at the 305 Garage located at 305 W. Washington St. Guests can enter the 305 Garage from 4th Avenue between Washington and Jefferson streets and on Jefferson between 3rd and 4th avenues.
