Dec. 3, 2015 Councilman Michael Nowakowski invites residents to celebrate the grand opening of the Desert Sky Transit Center, 7887 W. Thomas Rd., at 10 a.m. this Saturday Dec. 5. “The Desert Sky Transit Center is going to make riding the bus in Maryvale and the West Valley safer and more convenient for more than 140,000 riders expected to use the facility each year,” Councilman Nowakowski said. “The center also is a great addition to an important shopping and entertainment center in District 7. ”The new center provides covered seating and waiting areas, bike racks and lockers, drinking fountains and assigned stalls for six bus routes that serve Maryvale and the West Valley.
