Law Enforcement and Community Leaders Forge Solutions SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Checkered Flag Run Foundation (CFRF), Nielsen and Thurgood Marshall College Fund host The Bridge Forum Scottsdale,, Mon., Jan. 23, the fourth forum that unifies police and communities in dialogue to improve relationships and build a bridge of understanding, trust and safety. Scottsdale Mayor W.J. ‘Jim’ Lane hosts the forum. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, five area mayors, tribal leaders, educators, business leaders, professional sports teams and everyday citizens attend. Former Arizona Democratic House Leader Art Hamilton moderates the signature general session police chief panel. Said Mayor Lane: “We’ve seen significant leadership gather for The Bridge Forum in Phoenix over the last two years and believed strongly that Scottsdale could contribute and further the conversation by hosting a third forum here in Arizona. We are pleased and honored to do so.” Phoenix-based CFRF founded The Bridge Forum and Scottsdale is the fourth, following two in Phoenix, and one in Louisville last October. In addition to the forum’s signature general session police chief panel presentation, breakout sessions focus on topics such as multicultural awareness, conflict management and media relations, and with a pre-forum survey yield data captured in a subsequent e-book.
