How and Where to Vote, Find Results for Runoff Election for Council District 3

March 9, 2017 Voting centers open Saturday, March 11 for in-person voting for the March 14 District 3 Councilmember Runoff Election. Registered voters in District 3 also can vote at the centers on March 13 and 14. Voting centers are open March 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; March 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and March 14 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters can vote at any of the voting center locations over the three-day period. Residents who received early ballots by mail can deliver their early ballot to any voting center no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, March 14. Residents can get voting center locations and other election details online at phoenix.gov/elections or by calling 602-261-VOTE (8683). Voted early ballots also can be dropped off at the City Clerk Department, 200 W. Washington St., 15th floor, during normal business hours. Voters submitting ballots by mail should allow sufficient time for mail delivery by Election Day. The United States Postal Service recommends allowing five days for delivery of first class mail. Voters who wish to vote early in person rather than by mail, may cast an early ballot during business hours at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., 15th floor, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. any weekday through Friday, March 10. Unofficial election results will be available online at phoenix.gov shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, with one additional unofficial update by approximately 11 p.m. Residents also can get election results via social media on Twitter @PHXElections and by searching the #PHXElections hashtag. The runoff election is required by the City Charter because no candidate for this office received a majority of the votes in the November 2016 Special Council Election. The candidates are Christopher M. DeRose and Debra Stark. Voters can check their early ballot status online or by contacting City of Phoenix Elections at 602-261-8683 (VOTE). For more information about the runoff election, contact the City Clerk Department at 602-261-VOTE (8683), use the 7-1-1 Relay System, or visit phoenix.gov/elections.
