Hastings & Hastings Speaks on Vehicle Safety and Tire Maintenance

Theo tin Hastings & Hastings

PHOENIX, May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — With summer approaching, tire maintenance becomes an increasingly important aspect of vehicle safety. Throughout the year, evidence of tire failure can be seen everywhere. Broken, shredded, torn up, black piles of rubber litter streets and highways along every city across Arizona. Reminders of tire failures past. Tire failure is one of the leading causes of accidents. It is also one of the most avoidable. Hastings and Hastings offer advice. Blowouts are among the most dangerous forms of tire failure. Blowouts typically occur because a tire is underinflated. When a tire is underinflated, patterns of wear begin to develop in the exterior of the tire. When the tire is exposed to rugged road conditions or extreme heat, these worn areas can tear, resulting in a sudden release of air from the inside of the tire. This causes the tire to explode. Several other factors can contribute to tire failure. Overloading a car with heavy cargo can place a strain on a tire. If that tire is already worn, it could give way. Even new, pristine tires can fail under extreme conditions. For this reason, it is important to stay mindful when driving, particularly during the summer. In the event that tire failure does occur, there are steps that drivers can take to avoid an accident. It is important that drivers avoid slamming on the breaks. Rather, they should gradually slow down while removing themselves from traffic before coming to a complete stop. If the speed of the vehicle drops dramatically, it is possible to lose control of the car. If that occurs, drivers should gently counter steer. The best way to prevent tire blowouts is by keeping tires properly inflated. Drivers should check their tire pressure on a regular basis. If it drops below PSI recommended by the manufacturer, they should inflate it at the earliest possible convenience. “Summer is a particularly common time for blowouts to occur. Asphalt can reach up to 200 degrees in the summertime, and there is no way for your tires to escape. You can run under some shade and enjoy a lemonade or go inside and enjoy the air conditioning; your tires don’t have that option. I always advise that individuals pay extra attention to tire maintenance during the summer months,” said David Hastings, the founder of Hastings & Hastings. PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA (PRWEB) MAY 05, 2016 The 2016 national gathering of Maid Right franchise owners was held on February 12, 2016 at the Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. Woods was one of hundreds of Maid Right franchise owners in the nation who attended the event. When asked what this award means to him and Maid Right of Greater Phoenix, Woods had this response: I’m honored and thrilled to win this award, there are over 30 regional offices throughout the United States and Canada. I want to thank all of our loyal customers and my staff for their support in this achievement. When Maid Right franchises first became available in 2012 Woods and Tod Higinbotham recognized this unique home cleaning business as the opportunity they were both looking for. Together they launched Maid Right of Greater Phoenix, carrying the franchise slogan, “Life is short, clean less.” It was the proprietary cleaning process and unique business model used by Maid Right that attracted Woods to the franchise. He realized this is what would make his company stand out from all the other residential cleaning companies in the Phoenix area. Maid Right does more than clean a home, it uses a patented disinfecting process called EnviroShield® that kills 99% of the most common viruses and bacteria in your household. In addition to this featured service, the Maid Right cleaning services utilizes the most current cleaning technologies available, from micro-fiber cloths to HEPA air filtration vacuums. “With Maid Right, customers love the fact that they get a quality service guarantee, high-grade chemicals, including EnviroShield, and the same cleaners every time,” says Woods. Woods has found that the superior cleaning process offered by Maid Right of Greater Phoenix sells itself. He really doesn’t credit himself with achieving the record number of sales they accomplished in 2015. Word of mouth is still the best marketing tool available. It was the testimonials of the many satisfied customers of Maid Right of Greater Phoenix that he credits with driving their success. About Maid Right of Greater Phoenix: Maid Right of Greater Phoenix has no equal in the world of home cleaning services. It has combined a state-of-the-art, science-driven cleaning process with an old-fashioned business practice that ensures customers receive “the care and service of a mom-and-pop cleaner,” says Woods, adding that “Maid Right franchisees owners also get the professional capability of a national company, so it’s a win-win situation.” Maid Right of Greater Phoenix 10439 South 51st Street, Suite 210 Phoenix. Everytown, Arizona Moms Denounce Senate Passage Of Bill That Would Hand Over Arizona's State Sovereignty To Other States; Urge Governor Ducey To Veto

House Bill 2524 Would Strip the Ability of State Elected Officials to Write Public Safety Laws Without the Consent of Other States

PHOENIX, May 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Arizona chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, today released the following statement denouncing the Senate passage of House Bill 2524. House Bill 2524 is legislation that would hand over Arizona’s state sovereignty to other states. HB 2524 would create an interstate compact that would block all states that sign on from passing any laws related to the sale or transfer of firearms beyond existing federal law. The bill would abdicate the state’s right to set its own law and govern itself: Arizona’s elected officials would be unable to write public safety laws without the consent of other states – and would not be able to leave the compact without out-of-state permission or calling a special session of the legislature. Instead, the Arizona legislature bowed to the gun lobby and passed a bill that would undermine the rights of their own constituents – and even themselves. House Bill 2524 would force Arizona to be at the will of other states and tie the hands of elected officials when it comes to passing any laws related to the sale or transfer of guns. It should be a no-brainer for Governor Ducey: it’s time to veto this dangerous piece of legislation that has no place in Arizona.” About Everytown for Gun Safety Everytown is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than three million supporters and more than 100,000 donors including moms, mayors, survivors and everyday Americans who are fighting for public safety measures that respect the Second Amendment and help save lives. ACMT Lauds American Board of Medical Specialties Decision to Recognize New Subspecialty of Addiction Medicine

The American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) applauds the announcement by the American Board of Medical Specialties that it will recognize Addiction Medicine as a new subspecialty.

Theo nguồn tin trên trang mạng prweb.com

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (PRWEB) MAY 04, 2016 The American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) applauds the landmark announcement by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) that it will recognize Addiction Medicine as a new subspecialty. As specialists in managing drug toxicity and overdoses, ACMT physician members encounter individuals with substance use disorders across the spectrum of their addiction – from experimentation and intoxication to overdose and withdrawal and through relapse and recovery. Dr. Timothy Wiegand, a specialist in both Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine who leads the ACMT Addiction Medicine Section, states “the recognition of Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Medical Subspecialties is a critical component of the response to the public health crisis of addiction. This recognition will promote education and training in the field of addictions so that a physician workforce will develop with the requisite skill and training necessary to effectively identify, prevent and treat individuals with addiction.” The American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), a Member Board of ABMS, sponsored the application for the new field to be a multispecialty subspecialty – meaning that physicians certified by any Member Board of the ABMS can become certified in addiction medicine. The ABMS subspecialty recognition of Addiction Medicine has been championed by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM), which has established a certification examination and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process for addiction medicine physicians. Addiction Medicine has become an increasingly important practice pathway for Medical Toxicologists. Over the past few years thirty-four physicians, nearly 8% of all currently Board Certified Medical Toxicologists, have passed the ABAM sponsored Board Certification exam and are now dual certified in Addiction Medicine. This area of focus in Medical Toxicology has become increasingly important for Medical Toxicologists to expand their practice and incorporate more content in addictions not only clinically but academically and in research activities as well. Addiction Medicine is one of the six identified practice pathways that a Medical Toxicologist can develop in professionally. “This is a great day for addiction medicine,” said Robert J. Sokol, MD, President of ABAM and The Addiction Medicine Foundation (formerly The ABAM Foundation). “This landmark event, more than any other, recognizes addiction as a preventable and treatable disease, helping to shed the stigma that has long plagued it. It sends a strong message to the public that American medicine is committed to providing expert care for this disease and services designed to prevent the risky substance use that precedes it.” Addiction medicine is defined as the prevention of the risky use of substances, including nicotine, alcohol, prescription medications and other licit and illicit drugs, and the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and management of the disease of addiction and related health conditions. Physicians specializing in this field also help family members whose health and functioning are affected by a loved one’s substance use or addiction. Certification by an ABMS-recognized specialty or subspecialty is considered the “gold standard” in physician credentialing, assuring patients that their physician meets the highest standards of practice and clinical knowledge, and has completed an approved educational program and process. “This recognition by ABMS will help assure patients and their families that the care they receive is grounded in science and evidence-based practice,” added Patrick G. O’Connor, MD, MPH, Immediate Past President of ABAM, who worked closely with APBM and the ABMS Member Boards to help achieve this landmark event. “It will also mean more visibility for this subspecialty among medical students and residents, and will ultimately increase the number of physicians who are trained and certified as addiction medicine specialists.” The Addiction Medicine Foundation has supported the establishment of 40 addiction medicine fellowship training programs to date, based at major medical schools and hospitals across North America, and is committed to establishing a total of 125 fellowship programs by 2025. ABMS recognition opens the door for these fellowships to obtain accreditation through the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), a process already underway. About The American College of Medical Toxicology ACMT is a professional, non-profit association of physicians with recognized expertise in medical toxicology. The ACMT mission is to advance quality care of poisoned patients and public health through physicians who specialize in consultative, emergency, environmental, forensic, and occupational toxicology. Ahipoki Bowl Scottsdale Sells 1,300 Bowls During One-Day Grand Opening Event

Ahipoki Bowl opened its newest location in Scottsdale following the success of its Temple City, CA location reaffirming the restaurant group’s plans for multi-unit growth in 2016.

>Theo nguồn tin trên trang mạng prweb.com

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (PRWEB) MAY 04, 2016 After the tremendous success of their Temple City, CA location’s opening, the Ahipoki Bowl restaurant group opened its first location in Arizona on the 1st of April, with their grand opening event last week serving over 1,300 bowls in one day. Recognizing the boom in health-consciousness among foodies everywhere, the restaurant adopted the Hawaiian-based poke concept that has been sweeping California for some time now. Through a large public relations push, a huge social media following and massive viral word-of-mouth, the restaurant was able to completely shatter projected sales for the one-day promotion. Ahipoki Bowl features fresh rice or salad bases, with line cut ahi tuna, diced salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, octopus, scallops, yellowtail and shrimp as the protein starters of their bowl. Guests then choose from several toppings like fresh cucumber, masago, ginger, roasted seaweed, green onions, jicama, daikon sprouts and more, all garnished with homemade sauces. “Our goal with the Scottsdale location was to simply prove the concept and I’d say it’s safe to say that poke is alive and well in the desert,” explained Jason Jantzen, Managing Partner of Ahipoki Bowl Arizona. “From day one we’ve seen lines out the door with 10% increases in sales daily which culminated with a massive one-day grand opening event.” While the Scottsdale location is the first Ahipoki Bowl in Arizona, additional locations are on the horizon not only for AZ, but southern and northern California. More information can be found at http://www.ahipokibowl.com About Ahipoki Bowl: The Ahipoki Bowl concept was born out of the desire of a restaurant group who wanted to bring a much needed health-conscious California seafood restaurant with a Hawaiian flair to its customers. Health conscious fish lovers can sit down and relax in a laid back atmosphere all while enjoying the fusion of California and Hawaiian flavors with a fresh fish experience normally found outside of a quick serve restaurant.
