Residents Invited to Free "I Recycle Phoenix Festival"
Dec. 18, 2012 The Public Works Department will partner with Keep Phoenix Beautiful, KTVK-3TV and dozens of other local organizations for the “I Recycle Phoenix Festival” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28. The event will be held at the Christown Spectrum Mall, located at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, behind Walmart. This free recycle-palooza offers one convenient location for recycling a variety of items, including electronics, telephone books, Christmas trees, holiday decorations, regular recyclables, clothing, toys and much more. Participants also can have their old computer hard drives and personal documents shredded and recycled. Participating organizations include: Keep Phoenix Beautiful, Vestar, Westech Recyclers, Goodwill Arizona, Batteries Plus, Verizon Wireless, Arizona Center for the Blind, A to Z Equipment Rentals and Sales, Treasure 4 Teachers, among others.
