Know of a great project for your neighborhood, but aren’t sure from where the money is going to come? Interested in applying for a grant, but aren’t sure where or how to start?

The city’s Neighborhood Services Department is hosting a free grant writing workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5, at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. Participants will explore the fundamentals of the process and learn the “who, what, where and how” of grant writing.

Sky Harbor's East Cell Phone Lot Temporarily Moving

Theo nguồn tin trên mạng của phoenix.gov March 20, 2014 In order to reduce traffic congestion near Terminal 4, Sky Harbor is moving the East Cell Phone Lot to a location that can accommodate more than four times the vehicle traffic. From 5:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21 until the end of the month, the cell phone lot directly east of Terminal 4 will close and a larger cell phone lot will open on the northeast side of the Airport. Sky Harbor will provide a series of lighted signs guiding drivers to the new location, north of East Economy Parking. For drivers entering from the west, Sky Harbor will continue to offer its cell phone lot located just west of Terminal 2. Additionally, those picking up and dropping off Terminal 4 passengers can avoid traffic tie ups by using the PHX Sky Train® Station at 44th Street and Washington. From the East Valley, drivers have two options: Take the 202 west to the 44th Street exit and proceed south Drive north on State Route 143 to the Washington Street exit, drive west on Washington to 44th Street, then turn south. The 44th Street PHX Sky Train® station features a cell phone lot where drivers may wait, free of charge, while their friends or loved ones take the 5-minute ride on the train from Terminal 4. Terminal 4 serves 80 percent of Sky Harbor’s passengers on Southwest, US Airways, American, Aeromexico, Air Canada, British Airways, Volaris and WestJet. Alta Vista Road. Attendees can get information about Medicaid (AHCCCS) eligibility, enrollment and benefits; Medicare benefits and options; Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) enrollment assistance; how to access health services through community health clinics; and other community services and programs that help promote healthy families and save money. Both fairs will have free optional health screenings for blood pressure, body mass index checks, lung functioning tests, HIV testing, kidney disease risk evaluations and more. Friends of Hance Dog Park, Whole Foods Partner on Cleanup Program

The PUP program pays for clean-up supplies for a year, as well as for promotional banners and “Pick Up Please” t-shirts for volunteers. The t-shirts will provide an ongoing reminder of the “culture of cleanliness” that has been established at the downtown dog park. To pay for and promote the PUP Program, Whole Foods Camelback tore has designated Friends of Hance Dog Park and the Phoenix Parks Foundation as beneficiaries of a Whole Foods Community Support Day on Wednesday, March 19. These Community Support Days occur twice a year per store, and beneficiaries receive 5% of the store’s revenues that day. Friends of Hance Dog Park will be on site to provide information about membership opportunities, and will co-sponsor an Adoption Program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the Arizona Animal Welfare League. Friends of Hance Dog Park joined the Parks and Recreation Department’s Adopt-a-Park Program in September of 2013 and organizes monthly clean-ups for volunteers on the first Saturday of the month. Additionally, Friends of Hance Dog Park has raised funds for additional amenities such as larger trees, tables, benches, and expanded ADA facilities, and plans to finance additional shade structures for the park. Fares are valid from origin to destination only. Seats are limited at these fares and certain flights and/or days of travel may be unavailable. Depending on the fare type purchased, nonrefundable tickets may be transferred for a fee of up to $50, or reissued for alternate flights for a fee of up to $75, as well as a possible fare increase. The name change fee and itinerary change fee are not exclusive of each other. Previously purchased tickets may not be exchanged for these special fare tickets. Flight segment(s) must be cancelled prior to scheduled departure time or the ticket(s) and all monies will be forfeited.
