Nashville Country Recording Artist and Arizona’s Own, Shari Rowe, to Host CD Release Party at Rustler’s Rooste in Phoenix

Shari Rowe CD Release Party with a food drive to benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank on May 22nd in the Crystal Barn at Rustler’s Rooste in Phoenix, AZ.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) May 15, 2015

Shari Rowe, Nashville Country Recording Artist and Glendale, Arizona resident, is set for the release of her CD “Moonshine”, and will host a CD release party at Rustler’s Rooste on May 22nd.

The night will open with a private meet and greet from 7 PM to 8 PM in the Crystal Barn at Rustler’s Rooste (8383 S 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85044). Doors will then open to the public at 8PM with Rob West performing an acoustic set. Shari and the band take the stage at 8:30 PM.

The band asks that attendees bring non-perishable food items for donations for the St. Mary’s Food Bank throughout the evening.

“Arizona’s rising country sweetheart Shari Rowe is ready to share her latest project with Lamon Records with fans everywhere. She’s been playing gigs steadily, appearing at charity events and along side such acts as Maddie and Tae and Big and Rich. She’s been back and forth to Nashville recording her EP “Moonshine” and filming the music video for her first single of the same name. Her first single with Lamon, and title track “Moonshine,” is the perfect summer party anthem and can be heard nationwide on April 27th. –Lamon Records Nashville"

“Filming the video for ‘Moonshine’ was so fun,” said Shari. “I loved the 1920’s vibe, and the cast was having fun with that, too. It was kind of surreal watching it all unfold. I kept thinking back to when I first started writing the song, and now it’s the first single! Hearing songs develop in the studio is something I always look forward to, but watching this song play out through a storyline- it took on a whole new life!”

The video for “Moonshine” was filmed at Kimbro’s Pickin’ Parlor in Franklin and in Lebanon TN. Lamon Records expects to release the music video on May 26th.

“Moonshine” will be available on iTunes, Amazon, and everywhere music is sold on May 26th, 2015. The title track can be heard on radio stations across the country as of April 27th.

About Shari Rowe:

Country singer-songwriter Shari Rowe has a heart for people, and family is one of her greatest values. Wife to fellow-musician Kevin Rowe and mom to 2 girls, she often performs at charity benefits and church events, and uses her life experiences to let listeners know they’re not alone. She is determined to give back what her biggest musical influences have given her: comfort, inspiration, and encouragement. The Arizona native signed with Lamon Records Nashville in 2014, and is ready to release her new EP and music video.

Born and raised in the southwest to a supportive, hardworking, blue-collar family, Shari began singing in grade school choirs and in church. They didn’t have much while she was growing up. Perhaps, she suspects, that’s what makes her music so relatable, and although she has dabbled in other genres, fans praise her country flare. This natural inclination is where she landed, where she feels most comfortable as a performer, and where she can best express her values in her songwriting. Her influences include Alison Krauss, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, and Miranda Lambert. She hopes her music will give others what these artists have given her – “music to do life to.”

“Shari Rowe is real,” says Dave Moody, President of Lamon Records Nashville. “And it shows through her music and songwriting. We were all excited about working with her in the studio!”

Today Shari travels all around Arizona performing with her six-piece band and has built a solid fan base. She is also the 2013 winner of the Independent Music Award for Best Country Song. Whether it’s at a Veteran’s benefit, Relay for Life, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, or a traditional music venue, Shari wants her music to be able to meet the everyday person right where they are. Her shows are high-energy and her songs have a distinct southwestern feel and bluegrass musicality. Her songwriting themes range from love and loss to encouragement, to long summer nights by a campfire.

Grant Woods: Arizona's former Attorney General turns songwriter with new album

PHOENIX, May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — As Arizona’s Attorney General during the 1990s, Grant Woods used indictments, lawsuits, and legislation to upset the status quo. Now, instead of government, the former Arizona top prosecutor is turning to music to create change. The Project, a collaboration of Arizona musical all-stars performing 10 of Woods’ original songs, will be released May 17, 2015. Performers on The Project, who all volunteered their time, include Nils Lofgren of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Gin Blossoms guitarist Scott Johnson, Lawrence Zubia of the Pistoleros, Al Ortiz, Francine Reed, Ray Herndon (both touring with Lyle Lovett and his Large Band), Michael Nitro, Alice Tatum, Walt Richardson, Blaine Long, Mindy Harris and Hans Olson. Woods, who served as Arizona Attorney General from 1991 to 1999, calls The Project an effort to change his home state’s national image. All profits from The Project will benefit the Arizona School for the Arts. “Arizona has a rich music history that is diverse and inclusive, but unfortunately that has been overshadowed by numerous controversies,” explains Woods, who remains a high profile political and community leader in the state. “Once word spread about The Project, musicians and singers jumped at the chance to be part of this effort to showcase Arizona talent and change our image. This has been a labor of love for everyone involved.” “I was thrilled to be part of this and love the music.” – Nils Lofgren “This album is fun and the music is great. It is a tribute to our history of amazing music from Arizona.” – Lawrence Zubia “I can’t get enough of this album. It’s Arizona and it’s Americana – roots, rock, gospel, reggae, country – it’s what we are all about.” – Danny Zelisko, longtime Valley concert promoter “We are honored to have these amazing musicians come together to validate arts in Arizona and support tomorrow’s great Arizona artists.” – Leah Fregulia Roberts, Head of the Arizona School for the Arts. A benefit concert will be held Friday Sept. 18, 2015, at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix. All available musicians who performed songs for The Project will participate, along with surprise guests. Tickets will be available for only $22 plus applicable fees starting May 18th at http://phoenix.ticketforce.com/. The Project was produced by Cindy Standage and recorded at Sean Cooney’s 3 Leaf Recording Studio in Phoenix. The album is being released on Bright Angel Records and will be available for purchase on iTunes, CD Baby and other online music outlets.
