March 25, 2015 ​Councilman Michael Nowakowski invites residents to celebrate the groundbreaking for the city of Phoenix’s newest dog park at Cesar Chavez Park, 7858 S. 35th Ave., on March 28 at 10 a.m. This will be the second dog park for District 7. “There’s a huge need for a dog park in the Laveen and South Mountain areas, so we’re excited to be adding one at this great park, along with an amphitheater for events and some much needed multi-use fields,” Councilman Nowakowski said. The new dog park will be a total of two acres and will feature separate areas for small and large dogs, drinking fountains for dogs and benches. In addition to the dog park, this latest improvement project also includes the construction of an amphitheater and multi-use fields. The film, scheduled to be completed in mid-to-late 2016, seeks to answer the most important questions about the GMOs in our food supply, a debate that's really grown heated as of late, particularly with several states introducing their own GMO Labeling legislation.
